Fine automobiles, classical music, a fabulous charity auction and gourmet international cuisine define the opening night Gala - Vehicles and Violins - of the 2009 Calgary International Auto & Truck Show.

The Vehicles & Violins Gala evening is the perfect opportunity to view the latest offerings from the automotive industry in a relaxed yet formal atmosphere. Musicians from the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra will serenade attendees as they browse through the massive selection of new cars, trucks, vans, sport-utilities and specialty automobiles.

This special opening night event, presented by the Calgary Motor Dealers Association will help to raise funds for the Hospice Calgary and The Alzheimer Society of Calgary. The Vehicles & Violins opening night gala, now in its tenth year has helped to raise in excess of $1,700,000 for local charities over this time and has become a "must-attend" event for Calgarians.

The Vehicles and Violins Gala will take place March 10th, 2009 at the Round-Up Centre and Corral (Stampede Park) from 5:30pm to 10:00pm.
